Day 13 -27 August: Camping in Ara valley to Camp San Anton near Torla

An easier day in which food seems to feature quite a bit.  We walked an estimated 15km today.

We set off at 8am and soon found ourselves in a gorge and on a gravel road.  We headed downhill through some very pleasant open clearings on the flat valley floor.
At 10am our peaceful walk suddenly reached civilisation - a refugio at a road end.  This was obviously a very popular place to stay.
We each enjoyed a very welcome coffee and croissant.
We carried on a trail by a stream through some delightful forest.  This is a small supermarket along the way so we stocked up.
Jim carrying our fresh bread.
Typical lunch - bread, Laughing Cow cheese and jam.  The fresh fruit was a real treat.
Stunning views of the Rio Arazas gorge where we would head the next day.

Dinner at our camp ground at San Anton.
