In France after the hike - Bordeaux

 7 - 11 September in Bordeaux.  We have visited Bordeaux before - it is a favourite city.  I spent four nights here exploring on foot and by tram, sight- seeing and geocaching.  France was experiencing a heat wave - it was hot!

I stayed in the Ibis budget hotel close to Gare St Jean, Bordeaux's main railway station.

I returned often to the Miroir d'Eau  (water mirror).  Note the modern tram also.

It was a popular place to cool off (even dogs).  Water vapour starts to rise every 20 minutes or so
