Day 15 - 29 August: Refugio de Goriz to camping in a field by Barranco Castiecho (river)

A long, hard, high altitude day with two scary descents.  We set off at 8.10 am.

View from our first pass of the day, Collata Arrablo 2329m.  Looking ahead to terrain in front of us.

We had to come down this rocky face.  Not easy with a big pack on, but Jim and Jill helped me down.

Second pass of the day - Collata Anisco 2440m.  The walk up was a big climb, but not technically difficult.

View looking back the way we had come.

The terrifying view of what we had to go down.

On the way down, looking at the steep rock faces we had descended.

And still a long way to go to the valley floor

Somewhere to camp at last!  Very welcome after a very hard, tiring 11 hour day, covering an estimated 11km and a total height loss of 1750m.
